Joy Comes in the Morning

Updated: Feb 5, 2019

Two and a half years in NYC. CRAZY!!! Psalms 30:5 says "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning". This verse is so true. I've seen it manifest in my own life. The Lord is so faithful. If we stay the course and don't give up, we can expect joy in the morning! Now morning or manifestation doesn't mean tomorrow, a week from now, or even a year from now. However, we can choose joy in the midst of our pain and struggles. I went through a really rough time of deciding if acting professionally was for me, wondering if God wanted me in this field, even wondering if God loved me... I soon realized his love is shown even in our storms and darkest hours.

I am happy to say I am booked as an actor for an ENTIRE YEAR. Only the Lord could have done this for me. His favor exceeds my expectation. I'm currently on a summer contract with Mainestage Shakespeare in Kennebunk, Maine. I'm playing Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Mopsa in The Winters Tale. I love Maine! It's so beautiful here and the locals are so nice. Like they are so nice.. it's kinda weird.

In the Fall I will go down to Cincinnati, Ohio performing at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as an acting intern for nine months. I give ALL credit to the Lord. I could not have done this without him. I remember the days of crying out to him, wanting to give up... but I kept going and he showed up. The Lord will show up for you! Don't give up!

I encourage you to trust the Lord even in the storm. He is faithful.  He opens doors no man can shut and he loves you more than you know.

Here are a few photos from my adventures (off stage) in Maine so far:
